Anyone know of any good online virus scanners?

What do you mean? Browser-based virus scanners?

Do they even exist?

Yep.

These are the ones I've found so far:
- Trend Micro House Call (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)
- Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner (http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus)
- BitDefender (http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html)
- F-Secure Online Virus Scanner (http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml)
- CA Online Virus Scanner (http://ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx)

Just to name a few. Unluckily, they aren't detecting the virus on my USB :(

You want an online scan as opposed to an offline scan why?

I think those online ones only pick up the really major and well known ones so it probably wouldnt detect it if it was a newer one, or they may just only scan your hard drive, best bet is to either buy one or download a trail/free one (avg free)

The one at TAFE wasn't working. I'll try my virus scanner at home.

I think you're right about that. Also, they don't work to well at TAFE because of User Permissions.

@BoonMcNougat or anyone else
Does AVG require Administrator Permissions?

All AVs require admin permissions to be installed and the programs require the permissions to run properly.

I thought that would be the case. Thanks for clearing that up.
