Yeah they make an effort to parody Haruhi throughout the entire series. My favorite character is probably a tie between Konata and Shiraishi Minoru, probably because he's largely ignored throughout the series and because of the hilarious endings his real-life counterpart features in.

Those liner notes are pretty deep, makes me realize that I'm hardly the otaku I should be. Seriously, I think half the stuff that was explained is new to me, lol.

Oh well, that just means I'll have to buy the DVDs and get back into the series once again (I already have the entire series in data disc form via bitorrent, but it was great enough to warrant a legit purchase)

The Wall Street Journal's Wednesday newspaper reported on it's front page about Japan's Washinomiya Shrine and it's recent surge in visitors due to Lucky Star. Fans will remember it being shown in the opening credits with Hiiragi twin Kagami strolling down it. The show also had the twins work there as shrine maidens.

It was thanks to A-Ners that I discovered this...and glad I did. x3; Currently downloading a few eps a day and watching them at work on my DS every morning. I've also read the first volume of the manga, and I must say that I too are a Konata-holic. xD That cutsie, nasally voice coupled with her zaniness...perfect~

Akira in the Lucky Channel scares the crap outta me though. I feel sorry for her co-star, and actually quite like him now. xP

Also, the opening? Damn catchy/cute. Makes damn near no sense..but that sums up the anime/manga itself~
