App Loader is a program that will make running programs when your computer starts up easier to manage. It also has the ability to have programs start automatically even if they don't have the ability to normally.

Change Log:

Double right-click error is now gone
Double clicking on a program from the list will now load it
Now installs apploader.bat to the current users Start menu instead of All Users
Missing program tray icon bug should now be fixed
Waits a second before loading programs instead of running them all at once
Error messages are visible to the user

If you installed the first version make sure you disable it and then uninstall before upgrading. Remember to backup your appsload.db file before upgrading.

Installer can be found here (http://smokedev.com/apploader/setup.exe)
Source code can be found here (http://smokedev.com/apploader/source.rar)

Isn't there an option in control panel to choose which programs to open on startup? I apologise if I'm wrong, I'll probably download it and give it a go anyway.

There might be, I'm not too sure. I know you can make shortcuts to programs and put them into the Startup folder, but that's too inconveniencing if I wanted to stop them from booting while I rebooted a few times in a row.

There's also programs that have the option themselves, but once again that's extra effort if I don't want them booting for a short amount of time.

The way I've always done it is by typing "msconfig" into command prompt (or run) and added or removed a program under "Startup".

Kudos for the program though. I certainly couldn't have done it :P

Is there any way to actually add programs to that list? I've always been limited to checking/unchecking what's listed there.

Thanks.

There's also scheduled tasks, where you can choose what programs to run on startup, as I checked earlier.

Ah true. I don't know what I've been doing then :?

I've never really played with those. I just checked it out and it seemed a bit to slow and cluttered for my liking though.

I always just add shit to the Startup folder.

Nice program though.

Hopefully I'll have worked out an online update program for the next version. If you have any suggestions please tell me them.
