Oh I don't hate Super Smash Brothers, but I consider it far too plain and short to be on my top games lists. I have the game, I enjoy the game, but there are so many other better games on the 64, and that means it's not on the great list.

'Twas fun though, Melee was a thousand times better.

Looking at this list makes me realise that even considering the relatively small collection of good games on 64 that I missed out on a lot. I never played Blast Corps, Banjo Tooie or Pilotwings. I guess the Rev download service really will be useful.

Personally I never liked Goldeneye 007. The multiplayer bored me (having been out for quite a while and there were much better shooters by the time I got it) and I was always crap at it. I agree, Banjo wasnt that great, but DK was awesome :D I waiting so long for a 3D DK because i was a big fan of DKC and it didnt dissapoint... My post count is bigger therfore my e-pen1s is bigger therfore my opinion is worth more :P

Well of the thirty games i ended up owning on the 64 id say about 25 of them were really good!!

Two special mentions

Mario 64 Made 3D gaming what it is today - and seriously was excellent game to play

Ocerina of Time or Zelda or OoT or whatever you want to call it!
- the greatest and most involving (first time through took about 2 months coz i didn't get any help!) game ever! An absolute joy to play!
- anything that ever gets close to OoT again will easily acheive a game of the year! (Twilight Princess anyone?)

n64 was my first console and i must admit it was a golden age of change and gaming!!!

BK is just amazing. It's so special - I don't know what it is. The level design, the quirkiness, the great puzzles, the timeless visuals and musical score...I'm not sure. But it's so good.

lol... being a huge superman fan, i actually bought the game... it was absolutely sucky, quite a dissapointment from the company who made Crazy Cars which I used to play for hours on my old Amiga 2000...

my top n64 games would include:

*Blast Corps (one of Rare's best games ever)
*GoldenEye (Perfect Dark's multiplayer was better, but I never played the single player on it)
*Shadows of the Empire (first game I ever bought for the console)
*Rogue Squadron
*Lylat Wars (i still play that one today when I'm feeling bored)

-Jet Force Gemini, I admired this game, the graphics were awesome and the gameplay was just hectic.

In my opinion, OoT is not only the best game on the 64, it's the best game on ANYTHING, EVER. I've seriously never gotten over that game. I wish I could play it for the first time all over again. ...sigh.
