Following on from the recent
Fragile publishing deal, XSEED has
announced that they'll also be bringing over Namco Bandai's
Sky Crawlers. The full title will be
The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces, and it's due out towards the end of the year.
Based on the anime adaption of the novel series,
Sky Crawlers is an arcade style flight game in the vein of
Ace Combat - as it's by the exact same development team.
"I'm extremely pleased to be able to confirm
The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces for gamers in North America," said Jun Iwasaki, president of XSEED Games. "The innovative control scheme and gorgeous visuals just go to show what a top-notch development team can do when creating a new game from scratch specifically for Wii."
Sky Crawlers appeared on several Australian retailer listings back in May, but has since been either dropped or listed as 'discontinued'. Still, with Namco Bandai games such as
One Piece Unlimited Cruise managing to get a PAL release, there should be a good chance someone will pick this up for the local market. Rising Star Games would be a good bet.
