Game looks epic.

Without actually playing a Monster Hunter game before, I can't help but feel as if it will be really repetitive.

I still seem to find myself pretty unenthused for it.

The game really isn't all that repetitive, just that it is insanely long.
All the different armor types and weaponry, not to mention the amount of levels to be explored.
The fighting isn't just slash slash A - B - A - B - Y - X, because all the moves are done with the analogue stick, depending on
where you move it is where your weapon will swing, which also can lead to some pretty cool combinations...
That or funny combinations... Cause the sword is so big you trip over it.

But what makes the game is how you have to outsmart each monster, and with so many of them; it never
really gets boring... Just stupidly hard.

If you're not excited, you've probably never played a monster hunter game... Or prefer video spacey games and Halo romps.

It can be depending on how you look at it. There are roughly 5 or 6 fairly-sized maps, roughly 8 different weapon types to use and a large amount of monsters to kill with them. The way it's not repetetive is that there's plenty of armour and weapons to make and a lot of quests to complete. As the name suggests, it's really a game of exploration and hunting. Not to mention this is on the Wii instead of the PSP, so there could be much more than what I've said here.

August 1st for Japan. Estimates would suggest this time next year for the rest of the world.

It looks pretty damn good, but I can't help but feel it's not that big an improvement over the one on PSP.
