Konami's been on a bit of a retro revival lately, and it looks like 80's overhead shooter Jackal could be next in line for a 'rebirth'. Listed as an undisclosed Wii project, early screens shown on Eric Testroete's portfolio (of Deep Fried Entertainment) bare more than a passing resemblance to the classic.

It could very well be something that never made it past the prototype stage, but time will tell (the time). "This battle will make your blood boil. Good luck!"

Yes! Although if the visuals look as horrible as that I think i'm gonna pass, despite the fact that the original Jackal was one of my favourite NES games.

For once the horrendously dulled graphics actually work in this game, unlike in that Frogger one.
