Default Japan - Club Nintendo update

Because it's important that you're constantly reminded just how depressing the Australian Club Nintendo system is, Nintendo of Japan has announced they'll be giving their Platinum status Club Nintendo members an actual Game & Watch.

It's an accurate reissue of Ball - the very first G&W released back in 1980. It'll even come with the same packaging and manual. While Ball is about as exciting as diarrhea, this is still a very cool little gift. Unlike diarrhea. Of course, becoming a Platinum member requires a lot of game registrations. Lesser 'Gold' members just get a calendar that Iwata's personally blown his nose on.

Thanks to Zephyr for the news tip!

Quite an awesome gift for Nintendo to be giving. As if Nintendo of Australia would update their list of Club Nintendo items for purchase.

Next they'll be giving out fully boxed SNESs. Japan are such winners.

I scored like 1069 or something on hard in Ball on Game Boy Gallery 3 (I think it was 3? The first one on GBC). Nfi how I managed to do that now.

Why is Japan the only Club Nintendo with a ranking system?

That is quite awesome! I'd love something like that, though it sure as hell won't be coming from Nintendo Australia.

Reading news like this makes me cry.

I'm gonna go look over Europe's catalogue and cry even more. Then cut myself.

If Nintendo was an Australian company I'd be utterly outraged and appalled.

Breaking Press Release:

Nintendo of Japan has just announced they'll be granting Club Nintendo members the chance to fly over to Australia and meet Miyamoto as he tours here. Japanese members can book appointments with him which includes exclusive one-on-one time with the genius.

Club Nintendo Australia will not be given the same treatment. A-N asked Rose Lappin ''what the deal is?" but was rudely cut off by Reggie who replied "Not my problem!"
