Default Question about DSi charging

Hello. I am living in Australia, and as a gift my American relatives have shipped me over an American DSi console. I was wondering how I would be able to charge the device. Would I just need to purchase an Australian charger?

Thanks for any responses.

I use a USB charger. You can usually find them in the Nintendo accessory section in JB hifi or specialty video game stores like EB Games.

I feel sorry for you having a region-locked system in the wrong region...

Thanks for the responses. I think I'm just going to get a USB charger.

Thomas_Hill, it's just the DSi-only games that are region free, right? I only want to play DS games.

Yeah true, if your not interested in DSi ware games, or any of the apps you can download from the DSi ware shop the region lock won't really bother you.

But in my opinion, the shop is one of the best things about the DSi, even though there are no real good games on it.

How does the region locking work? Will I not be able to access the store?

You should be able to, provided you have a wireless router. However you'll have to use a credit card to purchase games, as Australian Nintendo Points are incompatible with American DSi consoles.

Oh, that'd be fine. That's how I purchase WiiWare and Virtual Console games.
