All podcasts are now available via the A-N Radio blog.

It has been agreed upon that we shall continue the production of A-N Radio for another year, however, a bit different from the previous years. A majority of these are unchanged, but the proposed changes are listed below:

• Podcasting will happen fortnightly at a nominated time suggested by everyone. This will usually occur on Friday, saturday or Sunday Night but this can change. Please keep an eye on this thread if you are interested in participating
• The podcasts will go for longer, about 25 to 30 minutes in length
• Editing will be handle my most as I am unable to do the core editing as I have done in the past but I will continue to over see things of A-N Radio
• Editing instruction as listed in the spoiler below

Any additions or changes, please post them here and thanks again for your renewed interest in A-N Radio.

Editing for 2010

A-N Radio [date of the recording in ddmmyy format, i.e. 130310] - "Title: Be creative but keep it relevent to the topics discussed"
Intro Music: (relate it to the music to the topics that you have discussed!)
Host: name of the person running the show
'casters: Name of the people participating in this edition

Notes from me:

• Please have the edited podcast complete within the week of recording. This will ensure there is some relevance when it is made avaiable.
• I'll be more than happy to do a QC of the podcast before it is uploaded. If this is to occur, please do not add any music to the edited podcast.
• If you are struggling with music for the intro and the outro, send me the podcast and I will be able to add them for you
• First time editers, I suggest you do your best and not add music. Upload the podcast and send me a PM. Dispite me being busy, I will always check my emails for PMs.
• First time editers, let me know when you are ready to send the PM to me and I will send you instructions on uploading the podcast and relevent files to me. Or you can simply email it to me.

Last message of 2009

After three years of A-N Radio, the time has come for the production to end. However, this doesn't mean that A-N Radio will no longer exist as there may be future productions, just not as regularly as we've try to achieve over the course of A-N Radio.

I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with A-N Radio over the time, especially big willy, St.Cameron, kabal and Leon for making the time and effort during the running and nearing the end. Thanks guys.

And also to our listeners. Unfortunately, we have no idea who you are but that didn't deter us. I hope you all enjoyed listening to us as much as we've enjoyed bring a podcast to Aussie-Nintendo.

Want to be on the show and have your say? thanks to the power of the internet and voice over I.P services anyone across Australia anyone can attend the podcast recording, all you need is the following items and you're ready

* Broadband Internet Access (256kbps Speed or greater)
* A Computer with 800MHz Single Core Processor or greater running either Windows 2000,XP,Vista, Mac OSX 10.3.9 and above or a latest Linux variant
* A Microphone either inbuilt into your computer, or external (Headset combination is preferred as less undesired background noise is picked up)
* A Pair of earphones or headphones (strongly recommended as people in the past have had their speakers turned up loud near the microphone causing echo and feedback
* Skype Voice over software installed on your computer (Download @ www.skype.com)
* A quiet room or environment to serve as your temporary recording studio
* Have a Skype account and name, you can set one up for free the first time you use Skype

Once you have all that, all you need now is permission from the Man in the know and our official man in charge (TryMe) and you're set to go

You must contact TryMe via his e-mail address, P.M's and forum posts etc will not be considered, and after you receive approval, P.M or E-mail TryMe your SKYPE username asap

If you don't want to join in on the fun but you want to contribute somehow, you can make up signature banners and advertise the podcast in your forum sig, even better you can put your banners in other site forums to grab listeners from other sites and potentially increase member numbers for Aussie-Nintendo.com.

If you're good with technical production like Audio Engineering, make up beats or make music, you can create content such as intro music, outro music, podcast I.D's even youtube video's that link back to this page, anything like that would be much appreciated and credit will go where credit is due

You should put the filesizes next to the download links on the site.

the podcast is quite good though there are some very minor static issues. Ofcourse I've only listened to 4-5 min or so.

I'd rename all the files as well.

Here is a pretty standard logical format, putting the extension in the file itself is pretty redundant;

aussie_nintendo_podcast_dd_mm_yyyy.ext

I'll fix that around the time of the next podcast, it will take me awhile to re-upload all the files again, it will be done next week thanks for the advice!

Just copy into notepad and save it as "namefix.bat" (not .txt) then put it in the same folder as your downloaded podcast and it will fix the filenames for you. You could put that file on the page if you want.

I just downloaded them and the namefixer does work. Later on I'll give each version a listen to see what kind of tweaks we can do for encoding the next batch.
