A-N Tournament - Pokemon D/P/Pt

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Tournament
- 10th April 2009 -

To celebrate the American release of Pokemon Platinum, Cameron and I will be teaming up to host a Pokemon D/P/Pt Tournament. To participate you’ll need to make your way though the awesomely awesome A-N Chat and type the command /j #an-wifi. You'll also need to post below with your Friend Code and Version of the Game (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum). Battling will commence at 7:30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time [AEST] (QLD, NSW [excluding Broken Hill], ACT,VIC, TAS), so please arrive a tad earlier to exchange those nauseating Friend Codes.
Times for the other states are found below:
Australian Central Standard Time [ACST] (NT, SA, Broken Hill): 7:00PM
Australian Western Daylight Savings Time [AWST] (WA): 5:30PM

Rules
- Level 100 Battle
- No Hacked Pokemon (This includes pokemon mass produced from an unofficial event)
- 3 vs. 3 matches for all matches until the semi-finals.
- 6 vs. 6 matches from semi-finals and the finals.
- Status, Evasion/Acc, OHKO and Self-KO Clauses apply. [Explanations and Examples of the clauses can be found below.]
- Head to Head, Knockout Rounds

Explanation of Clauses

Species Clause
Only one pokemon of each species is allowed on a team.[Example: Pete has two Mudkips on his team, this is illegal. Ned, however has a Mudkip and a Swampert this is completely legal]

Status Clause
Only one pokemon can be affected by each status. [Example: Pete's Mudkip has been put to sleep with Hypnosis. It is illegal to put another pokemon to sleep. However, if the opponent uses a different type of status move on a different pokemon, like Toxic, this is legal.]

Evasion/Accuracy Clause
No move that increases/lowers Evasion/Accuracy can be used. [Example: Pete's Mudkip uses Sand-attack, this is illegal. Pete's Mudkip uses Double Team, this is illegal.]

OHKO Clause
Moves that are guarrenteed to one hit KO are banned. [Example: Pete's Mudkip uses Sheer Cold, this is illegal]

Self-KO Clause
When both teams are down to their last pokemon, no one is able to use a Self KO move to force a tie. [Example: Pete's team is down to their last pokemon, Mudkip. The opponent's team is also down to their last pokemon, Bidoof. Lets say my Mudkip uses Explosion, this is illegal.

Failure to comply with any of the following rules will result in a ban from the tournament.

I'm not sure yet, I was thinking a legit Level 47 Giratina. I'll discuss it over with Cameron soon.

Hey guys long time no see :) im sorry about jumping up and runny away but my pokemon diamond was stolen :( so yer thats why i kinda just up and left, 500 hours of my life gone, anyway im back and with an ebayed american pokemon platinum and it was worth evey extra penny i spent for the shipping :P anyway yer so il enter this tourney hopefully with my old team if i can chain myself another adamant shiny scizor (see you in a year haha) but yer il be in it for sure :P

Man I would so love to be in this as I have spent hours on my party but I can't as the stupid DS doesn't accept WPA. Last time I changed the security for an event on the DS someone hacked in and used up most of our usage for that month and this was within about 3 days of security being turned off. Anyways good luck with the Tournament! :p
