Default Fatal Frame 4 gets a February European release

Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, the fourth title in the Fatal Frame series has been given an estimated February release date for Europe in the latest issue of the UK's Official Nintendo Magazine. The Nintendo-published Wii game, which has previously not had an announced release outside of Japan, has been given a release date of February 6th by online retailer Play.com, with the title of Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, unlike it's predecessors in PAL regions which had the series titled as Project Zero.

It is expected Australia, as usual, will share the European release of the the game. A North American release has been confirmed by an XSEED Games representative, by a publisher other than XSEED. It is unknown at this point if Nintendo of America will be publishing the title, or if they'll pass again as they did with the recent Disaster: Day of Crisis.

Strange that they are now adapting the Fatal Frame name, I didn't mind Project Zero.

That said, are they fixing up the PAL version of this game, since IIRC the original release in Japan was a tad broken.

Unsure at the moment, Dark Moogle, lets hope so though. IIRC, the controls for the flashlight was clunky, and could have been implemented much better with the Wii hardware. Though, I also remember the developer's saying it was deliberate to maintain the tension or something... *shrugs*

Haven't played a Project Zero before, doubt I ever will with the scarcity of the PS2 games now (well, I haven't really came across a lot..), so this one is in the maybe pile. Make that the probably not pile, on second thoughts.

Great news been looking forward to this one for ages. The only bad thing is that is coming around the same time as RE5, which may hurt its sales, which will only reinforce that core games dont do well on the wii.

Never played a Fatal Frame game before, but from the videos I've seen it looks down right scary.

Can't wait to get scared silly :p

Seriously anything with Zero in its name better have a damn good reason for it. Fatal Frame was the original name anyway right?

Also am I the only one thats noticed how much more agressive PAL publishers are getting?
