SEGA president shoots down Shenmue hopes

Posted 20th of July, 2008 at 11:55 pm by Will Will is offline

Fans of SEGA's Dreamcast turned Xbox classics Shenmue and Shenmue II have been hanging out for a sequel for years, and new hope was given when rumours circulated earlier this year, suggesting that the franchise might be reborn on consoles including Wii.

SEGA president Simon Jeffery has unfortunately shot down any hopes by saying that there are no plans for Shenmue III right now.

Hopefully that means it might eventuate one day, but if Shenmue fans know one thing though, it's that you don't hold your breath.

I kinda wish they'd hurry up and make the thing already. Shenmue 2 was left at one of those to be continued moments, and I really want to see what happens afterwards.

Just do eet SEGA.

Sega should port shenmue 1 & 2 to the wii and then use that cash to make shenmue 3.
