NPC: Pikmin 2 release date confirmed?

EB Games Australia have posted a release date for New Play Control: Pikmin 2 on their site, the date being May 14th. EB Games are always quite vague when posting the release of games normally only stating the month in which they expect the title to be released, so it would seem this date is very possible. May 14th also happens to fall on a Thursday, the day in which first-party Nintendo titles are released each week so I'd say it's safe to mark the date in your calendars.

Pokemon Platinum was also confirmed for an Australian release on this date.

We have the same date listed on the JB release calender, and it's also on GameFAQs. Methinks it is true.

I neva tried Pikmin. Altho Eb Games thinks that Platinum will be released in June. Whats with that

EB Games are stupid, they pick a random month they expect the game to be released, that is why when they posted such a specific date for Pikmin 2, I knew it had to be true.

I never got this for gamecube so i do plan to buy it.

Pikmin was $39.95 at Target but i see the price going even lower soon for these new play control games so i will probally wait.

So, either Platinum or Pikmin 2? Well, i've never played Pikmin 2 before and i've basically played the outline of Platinum. I suppose that Platinum can wait a few more weeks.

I already knew about this release date last week XD
But I am so excited about the new pikmin 2 cover, cuz its the one without a lobster in it.
Hmmm now I have to choose Pikmin 2 or Platinum hmmmm

Well Shiggy said Pikmin 3 was on it's way, it's only logical that Nintendo should reintroduce the Pikmin fanchise to the market. This also proves that Nintendo acknowlege that most Wii owners are not hardcore gamers and are trying to sway them over to mainstream games.

Only time will tell, it would be a nice incentive to get Pikmin 2 on Wii, since I played the first on the GCN years back...

Will wait for the official word, though.
