CiNG's Hotel Dusk gets a sequel

Posted 13th of November, 2009 at 12:55 am by Infernal Monkey Infernal Monkey is offline

Nintendo of Japan trademarked 'Last Window' a little while back, leaving the internet to start hyperventilating in a frenzy of wild guesses. As it turns out, this is actually a sequel to Hotel Dusk.

Last Window - Mayonaka no Yakusoku is due out in Japan early January for the DS. Not a whole lot is known about the game so far, but it's set in Los Angeles during the 1980's. Yep, Kyle Hyde's back to confirm how good his name is with strangers. Smug expression included.

Never got around to playing Hotel Dusk... But from what I've heard it's pretty great. I loved Another Code, so I shouldn't have any problem enjoying Hotel Dusk.

Will probably play this once I've played the first.

Sweet! I loved Hotel Dusk, especially the art style. I'd love to see this one be localised.

Such news requires only one type of response...

Keep up the epic work CiNG! Possibly one of the strongest developers on Nintendo's side this generation, and with quality results to boot. :)

I really liked Hotel Dusk, then I got stuck like 7 times in a row to nonsensical, illogical puzzles and got angry and gave up. Maybe I should just replay it with a guide in hand for the story?

Hopefully this one doesn't suffer from such terrible design issues the first one had.

In a game whenever I'm forced to look-up a walkthrough /or guide online, just to make any progress,
it really hurts the immersion/liking of the game in general.

The more and more I was frustrated while playing this game, the more I disliked it,
it was really promising though(still is).

Got a minute?

I enjoyed the game, but there were puzzles that did nothing other than to force the story along poorly. I hope more of the puzzles are centric to the development of the story this time around, like the puzzles in Another Code: Two Memories. Please remove question time too, or at least make the questions harder.

The question time actually had the same pattern of answers every time. I think it was B C A B C iirc.
