Aonuma discusses future of Zelda games, possibility of Ocarina of Time Wii-make
Posted 28th of November, 2009 at 10:02 pm by Eleventyseventy
In an interview with IGN, video game producer Eiji Aonuma shed some light on the development of The Legend of Zelda series. When questioned as to whether any of the old Zelda games would be re-made with new technology, Aonuma spoke of how there were requests for Ocarina of Time to be re-made on Wii. He went on to say, "If I can think of how to do it, or any other inspiration comes to me, without destroying the emotional attachment people have to the past game, and I can make some great innovation or renovation on the remake, then I might be able to think about it further."

But wait, didn't they already Wiimake Ocarina of Time? I'm pretty sure it was renamed 'Twilight Princess' Oh Snap!
Having gone through WW and TP, it's time to switch things up now. Aonuma alludes to that with the 'flow' of Zelda and do believe with the aid of a more interesting story, voice acting and motion plus, Zelda can truly evolve once again. It's not impossible.
And Ocarina remake should be good to go in say, another 7 years. Give people time to build up that nostalgic feeling.
E3. So long away. :P
If they remade OoT for wii, they would have to five the option to use the classic or gamecube controller. I wouldnt want them spoiling it with silly motion controls.
Think about it- the already, arguably best game ever made- made even better. That's the thing, though. As fragile as it already is it'd be hard to do all that without ruining it.
Fire when ready.
I say just wait for whatever comes after the Wii.
There is only one way a Wii-make could be done; Cel shaded young Link and *shwing*, pull out the master sword, and TP style older Link! Fire when ready.
Do not like the idea of a remake though, don't think it's necessary. I would personally prefer them to just keep on pushing forward with the series hopefully injecting it with some innovation and mixing things up as much as possible.
TP gave us an updated version of almost every environment that was in OoT. Do people really want to see yet another version of the same environment? I mean ultimately, most environment themes are recycled (forest, cave etc.) but these are the ACTUAL places, I can't see how they would differ so much from what we have seen in Twilight Princess.
I want some fresh visuals.

STEAM PUNK!
Fire when ready.
Remaking OoT for the DS would be the opposite of not destroying it.
The DS has horrible hardware for a N64 port. Wait until the next handheld which will have its graphics by Nvidia.
Turning OoT handheld would destroy it, regardless of hardware... trying to convert that huge adventure into something portable is a stupid idea.
Again forgetful. We were all worried about TP getting ruined by motion controls and what we got was a rather decent A = waggle and far superior Bow controls.
