Australian sales charts - W/E 6th December

Posted 11th of December, 2009 at 03:21 am by Eleventyseventy Eleventyseventy is offline

Nintendo Wii games are dominating. Carnival Games: Mini Golf shoots out of nowhere to somehow collect some sales, while Littlest Pet Shop: Beach Friends and Littlest Pet Shop: City Friends follow the shovelware leader. I guess it's that time of year when those clueless parents venture out, trying to get good games for their kids.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Style Boutique continue to bathe in glory.
There's a chance Nintendo might even notice that by advertising games on TV, they're actually increasing sales and should try it more often.

It seems the original Mario and Sonic at The Olympic Games has outsold it's sequel this week.

And Mario Kart DS is back in the top 10 for DS.

I believe Nintendo Presents: Style is that Style Boutique game thats been advertised.

The only reason Carnival Games and M&S Olympics spike every now and then is because there are a lot of Wii bundle deals going at the moment - I think Big W's deal has Carnival Games, and K-mart's has M&S Olympics.

Speaking of which, there are a lot of decent Wii bundles going at the moment - I remember one which threw in Mario Kart, Wii Sports & Resort, Smash Bros. and something else, and the one at J.B had New Super Mario Bros. in it.

It's bundle deals that will keep NSMB selling by this time next year, in the same way that Super Mario World got great sales by being bundled with the Super NES.
