
Welcome to this weeks instalment of Nintendo Shop Updates, nine new titles are available today on the Virtual Console, WiiWare and DSiWare.
Title: A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia
System: Virtual Console
Price: 500 Nintendo Points
The original that sparked a new updated instalment to the series, you're a boy who discovers a blob from space, you must help it return to its home planet. The blob can turn into twelve different objects by feeding it various jellybeans, objects include an umbrella, ladder, flamethrower and even a bubble shield. The new recently released Wii version will probably offer you a much more enjoyable experience for those new to the series as this title may feel a little out dated.
Title: Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
System: Virtual Console
Price: 700 Nintendo Points
Costing 100 points more then the usual TurboGrafx16 title, this is a Japanese import which is basically just Street Fighter II. This version simply offers a few bonus stages, sound effects and a more arcade style gameplay experience as opposed to its counterpart already available on the VC, be warned though that some of the names are different due to it being a Japanese port.
Title: Castle of Magic
System: DSiWare
Price: 500 Nintendo Points
Being called possibly the best platformer on the DSi Store (Not that there's much competition), Castle of Magic puts you in control of a little wizard in a colourful world. An evil sorcerer has kidnapped your friend and using magic and various items and tools you come across you must save them. The DSi Camera is also utilised as you use your face in game or transform items you have around the house into weapon and tools that can aid you in your quest.
Title: Littlest Pet Shop
System: DSiWare
Price: 800 Nintendo Points
Choose like one of three totally rad pets and look after them by playing like various mini games and junk. Buy your pet some totally super fetch toys, like totally feed and groom them, throw a super hot dance party and even like dress them up in like the totally hottest accessories like... Like.
Title: Starship Patrol
System: DSiWare
Price: 500 Nintendo Points
Q Games returns with another title, this puts a spin on the classic "Defend Your Castle" genre as you attach weapons to your space crafts and position them in strategic places so no enemies can go through. With thirty levels you collect power from your defeated enemies which you can use to upgrade your weapons, you may even come across a rare power crystal that will activate a powerful attack such as opening a black hole.
Title: A Little Bit of... Magic Made Fun: Psychic Camera
System: DSiWare
Price: 200 Nintendo Points
Ask your friends and family to think of a card or symbol, take a photo of them using the DSi Camera then magically the card or symbol they where thinking off will appear in their photo.
Title:myNotebook Green
System: DSiWare
Price: 200 Nintendo Points
From the creators of Pop!, MyNotebook offers you a virtual pen and paper which allows you can save notes and drawings on your DSi. This version offers a green colour scheme with blue and red also available. There are over eighteen different paper styles to choose from and various pens and tools to use which will allow you to customise your notebook to reflect your personality or mood.
Title: Moki Moki
System: WiiWare
Price: 800 Nintendo Points
With over 100 levels you must herd the Moki through various puzzling stages safely so no evil Gromblins can eat them. Pitfalls, spinning blades and a shift in gravity will often appear on various stages making your job alot harder and putting your brain to work.
Title: Eat! Fat! FIGHT!
System: WiiWare
Price: 1000 Nintendo Points
With so many games based on losing weight and being fit, it's about time we get one about eating and becoming fat. In this title you get a sumo wrestler which you can customise of even place your Mii's face on it, you then feed and train them through various mini games until they're ready to fight. You then pit your wrestler against other fighters in a tournament or go head to head against a friend in two player mode.
