Konami's DS dating sim Love Plus continues to provide such amusing, pointless news. A special 'Plus-mas' event was recently held to celebrate the festive season. Three stores took part, each offering 100 cakes supposedly from the in-game characters - eager fans lined up for hours.
The cakes also came with an augmented reality (AR) Christmas card. When placed in front of a webcam and viewed on-screen, the card's data would magically produce their virtual girlfriend holding a present. Considering Love Plus is designed to never end, fans can likely expect to do this all over again next year - and every year, until the battery inside the DS cartridge dies.
