Also, kinda surprising to see the Avatar game struggling to sell.

You do know that despite one particular title. (Goldeneye 007 in case I had to remind you.) That all movie conversions suck right? It looks like people are finally going against the bandwagon. Just because it's a good movie does it mean you have to buy the game. They're not falling for it anymore.
If you want a good movie conversion to sell you have to put the work in.

What's surprising is that only two titles seemed to of gone against Nintendo this christmas. And neither of them got anywhere close to the top 5. Sad but true.

Then again the lineup has been a bit lacking in Australia maybe that's the reason why people keep on buying Nintendo games. Not to mention PS3 and Xbox games are still costing a fortune.

You want to hear something really sad unless someone makes a bid for Prototype in the next 3 hours on Ebay i'm going to get it for $31.

Bullshit. A good number of platformers based on Disney movies developed by either Capcom or Virgin in the 8- and 16-bit era were really quite good, too. A large number of licenced games are kinda shitty, but that doesn't mean they all are (or that they fail to sell, regardless of quality).

Agreed. Aladdin on the Sega Mega Drive is one of the best plat-forming games I've ever played.

On an even crazier note, the Neo Geo adaptation of the movie Double Dragon (yes, the movie) is actually a really solid fighting game.

Overwhelmingly, a large number of licensed games are terrible, but are we all forgetting that the majority of all video games in existence aren't that good.

These top-seller lists are just depressing.
Most are sequels to sequels of sequels.
