New PAL publisher to handle Arc System Works' games

Happy Friday, everyone. Let's kick off the new year with some good news - it's no longer Thursday. Also, we can look forward to the efforts of pQube in 2010 and beyond, a newly formed publisher for PAL regions. pQube has picked up the rights to Arc System Works' catalogue, along with Ertain's.

Here's what they've already announced for Q1/Q2.

Arc System Works
BlazBlue (PS3, 360)
Castle of Shikigami III (Wii)
Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus (Wii, PS2, PSP)
Jake Hunter: Memories of the Past (DS)
Theresia (DS)

Ertain
Air Traffic Controller (DS)
Colpile (DS)
Deep Sea Aquarium (DS)
Paint Classic Masterpieces (DS)

The majority of these titles are very old news for Japan and America, but it's still great to see them finally make it over. 505 Games were previously responsible for Arc System Works' titles in Europe and Australia (since 2004 I believe), but judging by this catch-up list, they obviously did a pretty awful job.

Best of luck, pQube!

I heard something about PAL versions of Blazblue including extra characters/content to make up for the delay. Will that still be the case now?

Theresia is pretty cool, probably the only good game they are publishing really.
