Bad news for all seven Australian Madden fans (unless you've updated to the 2010 edition). Come February, EA's shutting down the servers for Madden 08, Madden 09, NBA 08 and NBA 09. They're pulling the plug on these across all formats, not just the Wii. Tiger Woods 09 is safe, though.

In total, 25 games will no longer have any online multiplayer as of February 2nd; most are American-exclusive releases or older PlayStation 2 titles.

This is the kind of thing that makes me hate online multiplayer, particularly games that ONLY have online multiplayer *glares at Conduit*.

EA needs a new strategy. Instead of shutting down servers make better games.

Knew about this for a bit. Some games released even last year are being stricken of their online features. Piss poor move, EA.

Shutting down 09 games is too soon, hell even 08 is too soon.

That's...stupid.

Also The Conduit is fun, even if it doesn't have its share of problems and isn't really up to par with other console FPS's *cough cough MODERN WARFARE cough*
