It's beaten the Master System, Nintendo Entertainment System and Windows operating syst- wait, no. 2010 seems to have kicked off with talk of sales numbers all over the place; Nintendo of Europe has joined in by announcing the DS - in its various iterations - has sold 40 million units in Europe, making it region's best selling system of all time.

Ol' Betsy is showing no signs of slowing down, with the DSi XL due out shortly plus a wealth of new Brain Training clones and virtual pet games due out this year. Of course, there are some actual worthwhile titles sprinkled through the mix as well! Here's a lazy list to enjoy however you see fit.

- Dementium II
- Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
- WarioWare: Do It Yourself
- Picross 3D
- Infinite Space
- Again
- Shantae: Risky's Revenge (DSiWare)
- Ghost Trick
- Sands of Destruction
- Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords 2
- Pokémon Heart Gold / Soul Silver
- Duke Nukem: Critical Mass (you gotta believe!)

Oh DS, you were such an ugly baby.

I remember it well, though I never noticed the no speakers.

DS "Phat" was, and still is, quite an attractive little unit in my books.

Now there's a blast from the past.

No doubt the sales numbers got a bit of a boost by having... what is it now, four separate models of DS available?
