Following the release of Let's Tap and Let's Catch last year, Prope (headed by Yuji Naka - co-creator of Sonic the Hedgehog) decided to develop their third original game... for the Windows Phone. As a result, only two and a half people on the whole planet were able to play Ivy the Kiwi. But now it's being ported to both the Wii and DS, so that'll bring the total to four and a third.
A 2D side-scroller, the game is a bit of a mix between Lemmings (character walks ahead automatically) and Kirby Canvas Curse (drawing plaforms and such to interact with). It looks like a lot of fun, and it has a kiwi as the main character, so it can't possibly be bad. I'm fairly certain that law was created after Taito released The New Zealand Story back in the 80s.
The Wii and DS ports were mentioned in this week's issue of Famitsu, but it's not yet known if they'll be retail or through the download services. The following trailer for the Windows Phone version does a much better job of explaining the game than my stumbling sentences.
