Sabarasa has announced Save the Turtles, their first DSiWare release. It's a match-three puzzle game where you must first hatch the turtles, then guide them into matching rows (by their shell colour). Waves will crash onto the beach every now and then, taking the turtles safely out to sea. Maybe someone's sandcastle will even be destroyed in the process, and everyone can point and laugh.
The more rows you've lined up, the more points are earned once the wave arrives. A number of things will try and get in your way such as seagulls, crabs, the sun itself (Mario 3 angry sun found a new job) and oil spills. There are 32 levels in the main game, along with a Quick Play mode, an Endless mode and a Tidal Wave mode with unpredictable elements.
"Save the Turtles was created to provide fans with a very entertaining game that stimulates the mind through imaginative puzzle solving, pleases the eye and brings current environmental issues to light," said Javier Otaegui, CEO and founder of Sabarasa. "We believe Save the Turtles provides consumers with fun and compelling entertainment content that feels like it should cost more than it actually does."
Save the Turtles will be launching on the PAL DSiWare service in the coming weeks for 500 Points.
