Following the Virtual Console release of the original NES game, Sunsoft has today announced a brand new entry in the series, titled Blaster Master: Overdrive. Surprisingly, the game is due out tomorrow in America.
Once again mixing side-scrolling and overhead action, it seems like Overdrive will take on a slightly more serious tone than the original (saving the world instead of just going after your pet frog). Or maybe the world is his frog? It really makes you think (no it doesn't).
We only just found out the other day that the Virtual Console Blaster Master is finally on its way to Australia, but Victor Ireland - the man in charge - is working hard on getting this new WiiWare game out in PAL regions a lot faster.
Blaster Master: Overdrive costs 1,000 Points. Sadly, the only media released so far consists of crappy thumbnail sized screenshots, but better screens and a launch video are expected shortly.
